When the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) needed a new home, they engaged The Projects Group as Owner's Representative to manage the project. The 70,000 SF facility is located on at 12-acre site at the edge of the Fort Worth Cultural District and on the northern perimeter of both the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and Trinity Park.

The facility has two interconnected structures: the Think Block, a two-story structure housing administration and research offices, education department, exhibit area, and public spaces; and the Archive Block, housing the herbarium, a two-story 20,000 SF climate-controlled, windowless storage hall.

The project included a geothermal mechanical system, an enhanced stormwater management collection system, ecologically-friendly building materials, and a living (green) roof. BRIT's new home is certified LEED-NC Platinum.
